This role is an integral part of the global sustainability team within the Corporate Affairs function, primarily accountable for developing and implementing sustainability strategies that support Britvic’s vision of being the most dynamic soft drinks company, creating a better tomorrow.

 

Non-financial information is rapidly catching up with financial reporting in terms of regulations and standards.  With this comes the requirement for the same level of integrity & assurance as our financial information. This role is critical to Britvic reporting accurate, timely & insightful sustainability performance both internally & externally, as we embed Healthier People, Healthier Planet into business as usual, for a resilient Britvic business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing annual emission factors updates & calculating latest Scope 3 performance for the Group. This will involve sourcing data from across various departments, understanding the methodologies and compiling into a logical workbook which will be available to external auditors.
  2. Support data management, analysis and reporting of non-financial sustainability metrics across the group, working closely with BUs to ensure best practice data reporting processes and systems are in place. The metrics can be found on the Sustainable Business Datasheet on Britvic.com.
  3. Support the annual sustainability assurance process working closely with external auditors to answer queries and source evidence from around the business. 
  4. Provide information to support engagement with rating agencies and other third parties (e.g. CDP, MSCI, Ecovadis)
  5. Seek opportunities for efficiency improvements in data flow and collection methodologies, integrating corporate data collection efforts with existing business processes and automate data collection when possible

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Excellent IT skills including Excel and other analytical software, with an ability to produce structured, concise and meaningful reports, summarising results and justifying conclusions, containing technical information 
  2. Strong influencing skills to influence people across all Britvic locations
  3. Willingness to build an in-depth knowledge of key environmental and social challenges facing the sector 
  4. Competent in corporate carbon footprinting or a willingness to learn, particularly with Scope 3 accounting and analysis
  5. Strong organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple on-going assignments simultaneously
