Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Engineering Technician to join our team at Britvic. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring compliance with engineering and safety regulations, maintaining utilities and services, and driving improvements to enhance site reliability. As a multiple-skilled engineer with an electrical installation focus, you will undertake daily/weekly site checks and support the optimization of planned preventative maintenance programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion quality, safety, health, environmental standards, and legal compliance.
- Support and develop improvements to the site to drive site reliability targets. Facilitation of problem-solving activities with both technical and non-technical personnel.
- Contractor management and issuing of permits to contractors in line with site permit procedures.
- Complete daily/weekly checks to the site e.g., sprinkler checks emergency lighting checks, fire alarm and L8 (legionella).
- Organising and managing work in relation to facilities and site infrastructure.
- Developing plans and practices that reduce the site utilities consumption. Championing environmental performance to reduce site overheads.
- Supporting and managing the site utilities and services equipment to optimise the operation and maximise the reliability of the equipment.
- Working with the engineering planner to optimise the planned preventative maintenance program across the range of site equipment.
- Working with the operations teams to identify improvements and provide support for site.
- Delivering 5S improvement plans for the engineering department and driving overall standards.
Requirements
- Practical engineering/technical experience with a proven track record of maintenance delivery
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid electrical background with mechanical experience
- Ability to manage contractors, review risk assessments and method statements, and issue permits
- Understanding of site utilities and services
- Experience in electrical installation work and site utilities
- Familiarity with continuous improvement programs

Qualifications
- Ideally City & Guilds, ONC in an engineering discipline (HNC preferable)
- BOAS
- Confined space trained
- MEWP licence
- 17/18th Edition
- Testing and inspecting
