Job Overview

 

We are seeking a dynamic and driven Shift Team Leader to join our Food & Beverages team at Britvic. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of 5-15 employees, ensuring safety, quality, and performance excellence across our manufacturing operations. You will inspire and motivate your team, promoting Britvic's values of care, courage, collaboration, pace, and ownership.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Demonstrate exceptional leadership, fostering a high-performing, engaged workforce through professional conduct and leading by example.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards, environmental requirements, and industry best practices, promoting an 'audit-ready' mindset and challenging unsafe behaviors.
  • Maintain product quality through a 'Right First Time' approach, meeting all quality targets and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and industry standards.
  • Support operational planning, delivery of the production plan, and effective communication across teams.
  • Manage costs effectively, driving down expenses through efficient resource utilization, waste reduction strategies, and effective labor management.
  • Provide adequate supervision, allocate resources effectively, and manage performance, absence, and conduct issues in line with Britvic HR policies.
  • Foster a diverse and inclusive working environment, enabling individuals to realize their potential through tailored development plans, training, and regular feedback.

 

Requirements

 

  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex operational and management issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, with a 'can-do' approach and a drive for exceptional customer service.

 

Education

 

A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field is required.

 

Certifications

 

  • Relevant industry certifications or qualifications are preferred.
  • Formal training in leadership, operations management, or continuous improvement methodologies is an advantage.
