Over the last few years, we have installed 10 new production lines, 3 new warehouses, a combined heat and power plant (CHP), as well as providing infrastructure for further expansion.


About the Role:


As a Shift Team Leader, you will work to lead and deliver the site plans for plant, people and processes for the shift.

You will act with pace as you deliver optimum use of resources for the shift that ensures the shift delivers safety, productivity, quality, cost, service and objectives in an environment of high morale and engagement.


You will be responsible for delivering the site vision and the strategic plan for the shift and support the achievement of the company vision.


As a Shift Team Leader you will own it as you take responsibility for the resourcing budget control. As well as ensure tight control of manpower planning requirements and promote staff development to meet operational requirements


You will be required to drive lean manufacturing principles that ensure efficient, cost effective operations across the plant


We care about our business so you will ensure consistent quality standards by applying approved manufacturing and quality procedures.


You will be required to create a safety first culture by establishing a safe working environment, safe working practices and safety conscious behaviours amongst your team.

You will be responsible for suitable assessment and control of risk including maintenance and practice of continually addressing and reviewing any risks in your area


You will be accountable for safety across your area; providing appropriate guidance, leadership, accountability and empowerment to your team to create a culture of Safety in this area.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment or similar high volume automated environment is desirable

Proven leadership skills

Strong people skills with ability to flex styles to differing individual needs is essential

Strong Communication skills

Sound knowledge of manufacturing and HSE process and legislation is desirable

Experience of Lean Manufacturing

Strong Computer skills required, SAP and B1 an advantage
