About the role:  

Join Carlsberg Britvic as a Quality Specialist and play a vital role in protecting the quality and integrity of some of the UK’s most iconic drinks brands. Based at our Beckton site, you’ll lead supplier quality performance, ensure incoming materials meet exacting standards, and drive rightfirsttime quality through strong systems, data, and collaboration. This is a handson role for a quality professional who enjoys problemsolving, influencing suppliers and stakeholders, and making a real impact in a fastpaced FMCG environment. 

 

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Quality Specialist. Reporting to the Site Quality Manager, this role will play a key part in our success journey, and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following: 

 

Role Responsibilities:  

  • Lead supplier performance management for all raw materials, including raising complaints, resolving issues and tracking supplier performance. 

  • Ensure incoming materials are effectively monitored, controlled and fit for purpose to support right‑first‑time production. 

  • Investigate consumer complaints and manage corrective actions in collaboration with Customer Care and suppliers. 

  • Coordinate and resolve material non‑conformances across site, ensuring timely containment and corrective action. 

  • Support food safety and quality compliance as a member of the site HACCP and internal audit teams. 

  • Contribute to audit preparation, execution and closure of corrective action plans for audit non‑conformities. 

  • Support quality incident investigations including traceability, quarantines, root cause analysis and long‑term fixes. 

  • Maintain and update quality data within systems such as SAP and Markem, supporting accurate specifications and labelling. 

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the development of site quality plans. 

 

Experience and Key Attributes: 

  • Experience working within an FMCG environment, ideally within a Quality or Food Safety function.  

  • Proven knowledge of food safety management systems, HACCP and internal/external auditing.  

  • Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills, with the ability to influence across teams and suppliers.  

  • Confident, resilient and detailfocused, with the ability to challenge constructively to protect product integrity.  

  • Experience using quality and ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Qadex desirable).  

  • Relevant degree or equivalent industry experience (5+ years); auditor trained with food hygiene qualifications advantageous.  

  • Proactive, collaborative and improvementfocused mindset aligned to “rightfirsttime” quality standards.
