About the Role
As the EHS Manager for UK EHS Systems, Standards & Compliance Team at Carlsberg Britvic UK (CBBV), you will play a pivotal role in driving continuous improvement across all CBBV sites (Production, Logistics, Sales & Admin). Reporting to the Director of EHS, you will lead a team of two or more professionals, managing Environmental Compliance, the EHS Management System and ensuring compliance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements across the UK business.
This position offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization's safety culture and the EHS Management system while working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead & establish monitoring programs for environmental compliance, performance, advising senior leadership on trends and recommending improvements across the UK business. This is a key element of this role.
- Lead continuous improvement projects aligned with Carlsberg Group H&S Programs and incident prevention strategies, Performance reporting while maintaining and reviewing the supporting internal EHS Management System
- Develop and manage the internal audit program for CBBV, supporting ISO audits and monitoring compliance via the IMS audit procedure across the business
- Evaluate and advise management on current and emerging regulations and standards, supporting cross-functional projects through a consultative approach, including the management of impact and aspects risk registers.
- Ensure investigations of environmental incidents are carried out, followed by the implementation of remedial actions and sharing information across the business
- Provide coaching and mentorship to direct reports, fostering a high-performing team and driving an effective EHS reporting culture that encourages a Just Culture
- Responsible for supporting functional leads in implementing and managing EHS responsibilities within the UK Administration sites.
- Lead the BU compliance and audit programs, develop plans in collaboration with key stakeholders and managing action planning programs with the key focus to support sites in being successful in meeting EHS management responsibilities.
Experience and Key Attributes
- Relevant qualifications in Safety, Health and Environmental Management with 3-7 years' experience in environmental and health & safety management. Strong experience and knowledge in Environmental management within the UK.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to set clear objectives and rigorously track their delivery
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills with proven ability to work effectively in a matrix reporting structure within a global organization
- Functional knowledge of applicable ISO standards, environmental legislation, and health & safety management systems
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
- Analytical thinking with proven ability to develop EHS strategies and provide dynamic leadership to drive operational improvements
- Fluency in English and local language (both spoken and written)
