About the Role:
As an Apprentice you will work within an efficiently organised team of skilled engineering personnel. The purpose of the role is to allow you to develop and learn the engineering skills required to drive Britvic forward into the future and to ensure manufacturing has the correct resources to support and enhance the overall site performance at NCW

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all phases of Apprenticeship program over a 4 year Apprenticeship.
  • To develop your engineering skills and knowledge within the factory
  • Ensure that health and safety is a priority in all you do. Learn safe practices at work and knowledge of the necessary statutory requirements under Health and Safety of work acts.
  • Attend college as required on a block release scheme to complete required phases of Apprenticeship
  • Complete a variety of engineering practical tasks and jobs to support attainment of the required educational/practical standards.
  • Drive personal development during Apprenticeship.
  • Learn about the business, soft drinks and manufacturing, drawing on the experience of others in both Engineering and Operational teams
  • Develop in the role to be able to carry out Engineering tasks independently and with minimal support from others.
  • Take part in all training and development activities as required to ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Leaving Certificate essential
  • An aptitude towards hands on work and a strong interest in Engineering
  • Ability to learn with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to learn within a team while supporting and learning from those around you.
  • Excellent creative problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact with people
  • Computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
