Job Overview

 

Britvic is seeking an experienced and driven Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager to spearhead Lean Manufacturing initiatives, drive Operational Excellence, and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across our production sites. This role is crucial in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and achieving greater operational efficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead the implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles across the organization.
  • Conduct value stream mapping, identify areas of waste, and initiate process improvements.
  • Provide training and mentorship on Lean methodologies and tools to staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies that foster operational excellence.
  • Establish best practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to optimize productivity.
  • Monitor, analyze, and drive improvements based on key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize OEE data to identify opportunities for enhancing equipment performance.
  • Work closely with maintenance and production teams to reduce downtime and increase equipment reliability.
  • Implement effective preventive maintenance programs and maximize machine utilization.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the lifecycle of CI projects, from planning to execution.
  • Create project timelines, set milestones, and ensure timely delivery of objectives.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and results to senior leadership.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and change management throughout the organization.
  • Engage and inspire employees at all levels to embrace and contribute to CI initiatives.
  • Organize and facilitate workshops and training sessions to promote a CI-driven mindset.

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in leading Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Strong analytical ability with experience in OEE analysis and equipment performance optimization.
  • Proven project management and leadership capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

 

Education

 

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.

 

Certifications

 

  • Lean Six Sigma certification is advantageous.
