Our Engineering Graduate Programme offers the opportunity to work across several multidisciplinary teams to develop your experience, knowledge & multidisciplinary skills. These include the planning of future production and material schedules, planning and implementation of automation workstreams, engineering new processes and improving on existing ones, being part of Continuous Improvement initiatives, learning and optimising effective maintenance of equipment, Sustainability workstreams, Quality, Health and Safety management programs and opportunities in transformational investment projects such as the installation of new equipment. 


Key Responsibilities:

As a key member of our Supply Chain team, you will play a crucial role in achieving our Business Unit Cost targets by focusing on machine efficiency and waste reduction. Additionally, you will drive Lean Manufacturing principles to ensure cost-effective operations throughout the factory. Other opportunities include top loss investigations, identifying and prioritising performance and managing product quality issues. 

 

Beyond that, this role allows you to actively contribute to other projects within the Business Unit and work on improvements related to utilities management (such as effluent, waste, water usage, and air systems). 

 

As part of your development, you will have the opportunity to learn about Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies and apply them during your projects. You’ll also take the lead in supporting new product trials and initial productions. Furthermore, there are additional opportunities in safety, quality, and people-related initiatives, all aligned with our vision of People, Performance, and Planet.

 

  1. Project Management: Leading a cross-functional team that delivers projects that contribute to our strategic goals.
  2. Change Management: Providing guidance and advice whilst improving our Change Control management. 
  3. Project Engineering: Working with our Central Design Teams and the exciting implementation of new technology.
  4. Continuous Improvement: Working in collaboration to promote CI culture, learning and teaching the various Continuous Improvement tools.
  5. Sustainability: Working with either process, equipment or other initiatives that improve our use of precious resources and aim for a better future.
  6. New Product Development: Designing packaging and process that give way to our new products, learning how to trial, qualify and validate our new products on site before they reach the market. 
  7. Health Safety, and Environment: Supporting our teams to continue to embed a safety-first culture.
  8. Data and Analytics: Learning how to capture precise data and how this and other components help support business investment and sustainability data-driven decisions.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. You must be a team player, with a natural and driven desire to work at a pace. Given you will be working across teams, exceptional interpersonal skills and demonstrated leadership abilities are essential, combined with a proactive, self-starting attitude. 
  2. Whether you’ve recently graduated or already working in FMCG, we’re looking for people who are well organised and will thrive within a team environment. 
  3. This is an opportunity for all graduates with an Engineering or Manufacturing degree with a passion for FMCG or the Food and Drink Industry, especially with strong analytical and data analysis skills.

Qualifications:

  1. A relevant engineering degree or master's (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Environmental) or equivalent.
