Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and committed HACCP and Auditing Specialist to join our team in Rugby. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the delivery and administration of our site's food safety program. Your primary focus will be on conducting food safety analysis for our entire site operation, as well as developing and leading the site auditing calendar for both internal and external audits.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the site HACCP system and all associated documentation.
- Lead the internal food safety review calendar for all change activities related to product packaging and processes.
- Lead the activities and execution of the internal and external audit program.
- Coordinate all site activities to control and rectify non-conformances.
- Manage and control the corrective action plans for all audit non-conformities.
- Drive continuous improvement to site quality performance with a food safety and HACCP focus.
- Evaluate food safety risks and implement best practice improvements through continuous improvement.
- Conduct and arrange HACCP training for operators and HACCP team members.
- Responsible for the development and implementation of site Hygiene and Quality standards.
- Support quality incident investigations, including product traceability, product quarantines, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions and long-term solutions.
- Support the maintenance and calibration of site quality equipment, dealing with third-party equipment providers and handling maintenance contracts.
- Support quality compliance through adherence to the quality management system, auditing, change control, and SPC systems.
- Contribute to the development of the site quality plans.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
- Proven communication skills with the ability to adapt styles to differing individual needs.
- Sound knowledge of food production processes and legislation is essential.
- Computer skills required, with SAP being an advantage.
- Proven experience in food safety management and auditing.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills, specifically relationship building, facilitation, and written/verbal communication are essential.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Experience working in an FMCG environment, preferably within a Quality function.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and maintaining food quality management and auditing.

Qualifications
- Relevant Degree or equivalent, or relevant industry experience.
- HACCP intermediate level essential.
- Intermediate Food Hygiene.
- Lead Auditor trained.
