About the Role:


Rugby is the largest site within the Britvic group, producing up to 50% of the company’s volume. The factory has multiple lines, producing Can, PET and Aseptic products within the Juices, Carbonates and Sports Drinks categories. Major brands produced at the site include Pepsi, 7UP, Tango, Gatorade and Fruit Shoot.


As a RAW Materials Operator, you will work to deliver an effective Raw Materials operation, meeting or exceeding scorecard performance through working in a highly flexible and multi-skilled team undertaking a wide range of tasks. You will work to achieve the required Safety and Quality standards across site, contributing towards and achieving budgeted site performance through the effective control of all RAW Materials within the department whilst operating and maintaining all relevant equipment for material delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, Environment Statutory standards and Site policies
  • Carry out all duties within the RAW Materials operation, whilst working in conjunction with production to deliver against plan ensuring the required efficiency and performance targets are achieved
  • Ensure that all materials are controlled in accordance with all Quality, Food Safety and Health and Safety standards as specified in relevant site documentation
  • Carry out the required quality checks, and complete procedures for reporting the results.
  • Effective daily use of site systems including SAP, B1, and others as required
  • Undertake the required work place transport pre-shift and/or safety inspections
  • Completion of inventory movements including put-away and pick
  • Communicate effectively on all issues relevant to your work area
  • Actively involved in continuous improvement activity whilst working within and adhering to all zero loss, 5s principles and others as required
  • Actively engaged in delivering specific Raw Materials activities e.g. H&S Representative, Racking Inspector, FLT Training 
  • Development of self and others to approved standards in accordance with functional skills framework
  • Maintain the required standard and hygiene and housekeeping, in all operational areas, following laid down procedures
  • Use business control systems, such as SAP, to help effectively control product inventory and track and trace requirements


Knowledge, Skills & Experience:


  • Significant SAP operational experience
  • Previous experience in warehousing operations
  • Experience using various MHE’s (Mechanical Handling Equipment)
  • Effective communication skills are essential
  • Experience of working autonomously
  • Shunt operation capability
  • The ability to work unsupervised, taking appropriate action as required is essential
  • Candidates must demonstrate the ability and flexibility to work across multiple production areas




  • Recognised (RTITB) FLT or equivalent qualification 
  • 5 GCSE’s to include Maths and English or equivalent (any grade)
  • LGV 2 License (where required)
  • Appropriate qualifications in warehousing e.g. NVQ’s desirable
