About the Role:

 

As a RAW Materials FLT Operator, you will work to deliver an effective Raw Materials operation, meeting, or exceeding scorecard performance through working in a highly flexible and multi-skilled team undertaking a wide range of tasks. You will work to achieve the required Safety and Quality standards across site, contributing towards and achieving budgeted site performance through the effective control of all RAW Materials within the department whilst operating and maintaining all relevant equipment for material delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adherence to all Health & Safety, Quality, Environment statutory standards, and site policies 
  2. Undertake the required workplace transport pre-shift and/or safety inspections 
  3. Control and handle all materials in accordance with all Quality (Food Safety) and Health and Safety standards as specified in relevant site documentation
  4. Complete all required quality checks and be fully compliant to all procedures for results reporting.
  5. Maintain the required operational standards Inc. hygiene and housekeeping in all areas.
  6. Carry out duties within the RAW Materials operation, whilst working in conjunction with production to deliver against plan to ensure the required efficiency and performance targets are achieved
  7. Development of self and others to approved standards in accordance with functional skills framework 
  8. Actively engaged in delivering specific Raw Materials activities e.g. Health & Safety representative, Quality champion, racking inspection and periodic material stock counts
  9. Undertake the loading and unloading of vehicles including RAW materials, and waste materials for disposal and recycling
  10. Completion of inventory movements including put-away and pick into racking or WIP areas
  11. Undertake the loading pallets onto de-palletisers, tipping areas of cans, caps and preforms. 
  12. Communicate effectively on all issues relevant to your work area  
  13. Effective daily use of site systems including SAP and the scanning of all stock movements using the RF system and others as required to help effectively control product inventory
  14. Removal of waste material for disposal and recycling from production lines, ensuring all waste is segregated in accordance with our site standards as specified in relevant site documentation 
  15. Actively involved in continuous improvement activity whilst working within and adhering to all zero loss, 5s principles and others as required


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Significant SAP operational experience
  2. Previous experience in warehousing operations
  3. Experience using various MHE’s (Mechanical Handling Equipment)
  4. Effective communication skills are essential
  5. Experience of working autonomously 
  6. The ability to work unsupervised, taking appropriate action as required is essential
  7. Candidates must demonstrate the ability and flexibility to work across multiple production areas


Qualifications:

  1. Recognised (RTITB) FLT or equivalent qualification  
  2. 5 GCSEs to include Maths and English or equivalent (any grade)
  3. LGV 2 License (where required) 
  4. Appropriate qualifications in warehousing e.g. NVQ’s desirable
