Job Overview

 

At Carlsberg Britvic, we are seeking a dynamic and driven Shift Team Leader to lead and deliver site plans for plant, people, and processes. In this role, you will ensure the optimum use of resources for your shift, ensuring the delivery of safety, quality, service, cost, and productivity objectives in an environment that fosters high morale and engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Deliver the Site vision and strategic plan for your shift, supporting the achievement of the company vision.
  • Achieve Business Unit Safety, Quality, Cost (OEE and Waste), and Service targets for your team.
  • Create a safety-first culture by establishing a safe working environment, safe practices, and safety-conscious behaviors among your team.
  • Ensure consistent quality standards by applying approved manufacturing and quality procedures.
  • Drive team engagement in reporting and resolving safety and GMDP concerns.
  • Implement quality plans, standard operating procedures to deliver right-first-time and reduce consumer complaints.
  • Support Safety, AIB, and GMDP audit processes, including the closure of associated actions.
  • Ensure cost-effective labor utilization, flexing when required, and promote staff development to meet operational requirements.
  • Plan labor requirements for your shift, considering production plans, absence, and training/development work.
  • Drive the training plan and ensure training records are up-to-date.
  • Support communication strategies within the site.
  • Drive Business Unit performance from a people, process, and machine perspective on a daily basis.
  • Manage the resourcing budget control.
  • Drive lean manufacturing principles to ensure efficient, cost-effective operations across the plant.
  • Lead Zero Loss activity with your shift team.
  • Adhere to process capability to provide product consistency.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

 

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment, including at least 2 years as a team leader/shift manager or equivalent role with proven leadership skills.
  • Passion for driving safety improvements through team engagement and company HSE initiatives.
  • Keen technical mindset with a desire to continuously improve people, processes, and machines.
  • Experience in driving lean manufacturing principles for cost-effectiveness and team engagement.
  • Strong ability to work in a team, lead initiatives, delegate to other functions, and communicate clearly to all levels, including the Leadership team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and WMS.
