About the Role:

As a Technical Operator working in the manufacturing department, you’ll be responsible for the mixing of syrup required for production, prepare the cleaning and sanitation chemicals and keep the relevant areas in order meeting or exceeding scorecard performance through working in a highly flexible and multi-skilled team undertaking a wide range of tasks. You will work to achieve the required Safety and Quality standards across site, contributing towards and achieving budgeted site performance through the effective control of batch make up within the department whilst operating and maintaining all relevant equipment for material delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety, Quality, Environment Statutory standards and Site policies 
  2. Carry out all duties within the Manufacturing operation, whilst working in conjunction with Raw materials and Production to deliver against plan ensuring the required efficiency and performance targets are achieved
  3. Ensure that all materials are controlled in accordance with all Quality, Food Safety and Health and Safety standards as specified in relevant site documentation
  4. Use business control systems, such as SAP, to help effectively control product inventory and track and trace requirements
  5. Communicate effectively on all issues relevant to your work area to a cross functional team
  6. Actively involved in continuous improvement activity whilst working within and adhering to all zero loss, 5s principles and others as required
  7. Development of self and others to approved standards in accordance with functional skills framework 
  8. All relevant quality checks are completed as per procedure and reported if any issues 
  9. Operate a forklift truck / PPT as required
  10. Undertake the required workplace transport pre-shift and/or safety inspections
  11. Participate and make positive contributions to cross-functional project improvement teams
  12. Maintain the required standard and hygiene and housekeeping, in all operational areas

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Experience of working in a production environment is essential
  2. The ability to work unsupervised, taking appropriate action as required is essential
  3. Effective communication skills are essential
  4. Candidates must demonstrate the ability and flexibility to work across several production areas
  5. SAP is beneficial
