Job Overview

 

As part of the Global Export plan, several exciting and new growth areas have been identified that will support the acceleration of our Britvic Brands as well as Global Premium Adult Brands. Consequently, the sales manager role within our highly important Travel sector is a key function.

 

The main responsibilities of this role will be to manage the existing customer base within Cruise, Ferry, Rail, and the Airline Sector, identify potential key opportunities for channel growth, inspire and build strong relationships with external customers and internal stakeholders, work with trade marketing to build robust plans, work with the international supply chain to ensure accurate forecasting, and work closely with the external equipment business to maintain Britvic equipment to meet customer demand.

 

This job is not a classic account management role. The key behaviors to be successful are being extremely driven with a proactive mindset, having a very strong hunting mentality with a natural ability to network and create strong relationships both internally and externally.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage existing customer base, maximize assets, and identify new opportunities for all brands
  • Develop a pipeline and roadmap of Travel prospects to help scale our business
  • Full P&L management of existing and new Travel customer base
  • Commercialize new and existing prospects to understand the opportunity and prioritization
  • Best-in-class forecasting
  • Attend and inspire at Travel Road show events
  • Manage external customer tender process where appropriate
  • Create compelling and inspiring activation plans along with trade marketing
  • Support the development of an innovative and inspiring selling 'kit' and story that enables unlocking the plan
  • Develop a strong external network that supports delivery of the strategy and provides stimulus for further opportunities
  • Inspire and collaborate with internal colleagues to gain maximum support and ensure the plan is aligned with business strategy and goals

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required

 

  • Proactive attitude with a strong hunting mentality: proactive in developing a strong internal and external network, hunting down new opportunities, and being the face of Britvic at relevant network events (physical & digital)
  • Proficient at creating plans and business cases with clear commercial outcomes
  • Compelling influencer skills with internal and external stakeholders, especially at a senior level
  • Sound commercial acumen with an ability to negotiate multifaceted deals at a senior level
  • Expert at developing strong relationships with different cultures and in varying geographies
  • Leadership: ability to influence cross-functional and dotted lines to implement new opportunities
  • Project management: ability to navigate and implement complex projects with franchise partners in different regions of the world
  • Ideal candidate would have the above skills, plus existing understanding of Travel business within Cruise, Ferry, Rail and Airline, understanding of the route to market and a strong network that would accelerate our growth
  • Understanding of formal RFP & RFQ processes
