Integration Developer


About the Role:


To provide design and development services to a portfolio of projects in Delivery and Operations.

To work collaboratively with project teams, and autonomously, to deliver technically suitable and sustainable integration solutions for Britvic.

Attention to detail will be vital to maintain a high level of quality.

Ability to manage multiple projects requirements simultaneously and to deliver to tight deadlines is a must.

To engage with key suppliers to identify and manage areas of risk and ensure technical standards and industry best practice is adhered to and make recommendations for compliance.


To manage the transition of project support requirements into the Britvic BAU support portfolio to ensure compliance with the shared services transition process.

Knowledge of the FMCG market is preferred but not essential.

Due to the nature of this role, the post holder will be expected to work occasionally out of hours, including weekends.


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:


  • 5 or more years development experience in a range of Integration/API Management toolsets, including but not limited to:
    • Microsoft BizTalk 2009, 2013 R2
    • SAP Integration Tools (incl HANA Cloud) e.g. BAPI, Netweaver, IDocs, CPI, MII, EDI
  • Have a broad knowledge of IT and deep, demonstrable expertise in at least one Integration technology
  • Experience of software development waterfall and Agile lifecycles
  • Delivery experience of at least two Integration (cloud/on-premise) implementations
  • Good understanding of Integration and application architectures
  • Be willing to learn, grow and stretch into new roles



  • Programming proficiency with: C#; WCF; XML; XSLT; XPATH; Web services; SOAP; REST; SOA; HTML; Windows PowerShell automation; TFS; SQL Server 2008+; Visual Studio
  • Understanding, and preferably some implementation experience of API Management toolsets and management products (e.g. Mulesoft, WSO2, Dell Boomi, RedHat JBoss, SAP HANA Cloud Integration, Microsoft BizTalk)
  • ITIL Service Management processes
  • Planning / Organising skills


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, development and testing of agreed technical deliverables, including documentation
  2. Manage key project and business stakeholders
  3. Coordinate and collaborate with third parties on behalf of Britvic
  4. Lead joint design workshops
  5. Create and update detailed documentation
  6. Technical troubleshooting of issues
  7. Support project testing activities
  8. Adhere to Britvic development standards and naming conventions
  9. Handover to BAU production support
  10. To provide support for major incidents, working in conjunction with other nominated members of the support team (including some out of hours)

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent
  • Integration Tool Certification (SAP, Biztalk etc)
