We are looking for part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) to join our us as a Reporting Analyst  within our Finance Reporting team. You will be responsible for the robust accounting and reporting of financial information across Ireland (including Northern Ireland).   

You will be involved in the preparation of the periodic Management Information Packs (MIPs) and the full year/half year statutory disclosure packs. The role will require you to proactively contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the organisatons financial processes & controls, in particular balance sheet reconciliation reviews. You will also be expected to complete detailed & supplemental reporting packs on a monthly/quarterly annual basis for submission to Group and FP&A.

 

The role requires an strong element of relationship management as you will need to build a solid network within the wider finance team to support the business on achieving its financial objectives. To be successful in the role you will be proactive in your approach and be someone who will take initiative and raise questions when faced with uncertainty.

 

You will have the opportunity as well to review the current process and identify any improvements to increase efficiency and also strengthen control.

 

Key Responsibilities:
Periodic

  • Prepare robust and accurate period-end accounts in line with the group timetable.
  • Post SAP journals for relevant accruals/prepayments and cost transfers.
  • Preparation of monthly management Information packs from trial balance with provision of analytical explanations.
  • Develop deep understanding of cost structure in terms of metrics, productivity, seasonality and key cost drivers.
  • Work with Finance Business Partners to:
    - Offer financial control support and expertise.
    - Ensure correct reporting and understanding variances to budget, forecast and prior year.
    - Ensure periodic numbers reflect an up-to-date view of all income and costs.
  • Produce insightful P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow analysis and reporting to senior members of finance.
  • Undertake a balance sheet review process within the business to identify risks and opportunities.

Cash

  • Support senior management in the delivery of currency forecasts and short-term cash forecasting.
  • reconciliations.

Business partnering

  • Proactively support the Finance Business Partners with the budget and forecasting processes.
  • Provide a key point of contact with Accounts Payable /Accounts Receivables to support balance sheet control (i.e. bad debt provision, release of old GRIR balances etc.).

 

Audit and control

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to improve efficiency and control and drive change.
  • Management of interactions with external & internal auditors to ensure timely & accurate provision of information/resolution of queries.
  • Review, update and maintain full procedure documents for the role.
  • Maintenance of general ledger records to a high standard including journals & balance sheet reconciliations.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver quality output in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Able to clearly articulate finance concepts to non-finance colleagues.
  • Experience of successful collaboration across teams.
  • Essential Systems experience: Advanced Excel, MS Office, (SAP: Highly desirable)
  • Desirable systems experience: BPC, SAP-BW

 

Qualifications:
• ACA / CIMA or ACCA – part-qualified
