About the Role:
This will be a 10-month Fixed Term role to cover Maternity within the newly created Procurement Shared Services team.

 

Buying Support Desk is a key enabler of a best practice Procurement function that will allow the Category Managers to focus on more strategic activities. 

It represents an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their career bridging both upstream and downstream Procurement, manage a team and interact with a wide stakeholder group.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the end to end Procurement process, be passionate about driving change and compliance, which will ultimately ensure the kpi’s under Project Stride will be achieved.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supplier registration, enablement and integration process ownership and supplier sata gathering checks for uploads into ARIBA
  2. First line support for internal and supplier users with, Technical or process issues and queries, Ariba enhancement familiarisation & User Ariba license queries and license/access level management,
  3. Tactical sourcing support as requested by Category Manager, assist in the planning and delivery of tactical sourcing events and contract management, Gathering and collation of pre-tender data, Preparation of supplier lists for tender participation, Building of RFP’s and eAuctions in Ariba tool & Drafting/loading onto Ariba supplier contracts using contract clause library for approval/processing
  4. Maintaining active list of suppliers under contract and collaborating with MDM/Category Managers to ensure no PO’s are raised against expired contracts*
  5. Managing existing preferred supplier list up to point of supplier enablement

 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  1. Procurement related experience, with knowledge of both upstream (sourcing) and downstream S2P processes
  2. Ideally will have worked in, or have worked closely with a similar Shared Service function with exposure to SAP Ariba
  3. Understanding of category management and governance processes and supporting technologies eg market data feeds would be advantageous although will be trained
  4. Confident communication style and comfortable in communicating with multiple stakeholder groups, ability to adapt style to achieve results and meet deadlines
  5. Must have a mindset that focuses on compliance and meeting performance kpi’s
