About the Role:

The Procurement Master Data Analyst performs a key function within the business ensuring timely and accurate data maintenance within a controlled Data Governance framework spanning create, change, inactivate and data profiling and modelling.

Reporting to the MDM Process Excellence Manager within the Master Data Management team, the core objective of the role will be focussed on maintaining procurement data objects and partnering with Procurement and other business functions (eg. Supply Chain and Finance) to deliver process improvements, managing data quality improvement initiatives with dashboard creation and regular data cleansing activities.

This is a highly collaborative role which requires partnering with our colleagues in Analytics, IT and business stakeholders to deliver business relevant data of high quality and integrity which supports our overall data governance and business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Creation and maintenance of all SAP contracts and scheduling agreements including source list maintenance for Direct materials including Commercial Assets and Finished Goods

•    Ensuring all price changes are input into the system before the “effective from” date

•    Adding price scales / breaks where appropriate

•    Management of price / quantity queries and appropriate responses between Procurement and Finance teams

•    Helping to support the improvement of the STPR

•    Making sure all contracts and scheduling agreements are cleansed so only active items are available

•    Updating “new items” accurately and on-time
 
•    Perform ongoing data maintenance and cleansing activities to ensure all applications and systems contain quality and business relevant data

•    Checking schedule lines to ensure sites have a continuous source of supply

•    Supporting the Procurement Department in raising Indirect PO’s when needed 
•    Work closely with the business/IT/Project teams to ensure alignment of master data rules and that the operations of application(s) meet all requirements

•    Create and/or maintain documentation and Data Dictionary with new or updated learnings to continue to grow our knowledge base and support data profiling

•    Regularly update managers and project teams with progress reports and dashboards

•    Participate in project activities, testing, implementation and education to business users

•    Manage Data Quality improvement and measurement initiatives for key data domains and partnering the relevant business functions to drive and embed this capability


Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

•    Must have master data experience or a similar role within a procurement department

•    An understanding of procurement, its role within an organisation, how it adds value and interacts with other functions


•     A good understanding of some core procurement processes (such as e-Sourcing and category management)
 
•    SAP knowledge and experience advantageous
•    A good knowledge of company structures and key data requirements. (Reg. Number, tax, Bank data formats etc)

•    Proficient in the use of MS Office: Excel (lookups, pivot tables), PowerPoint and Visio

•    An understanding of Lean & Continuous Improvement methodologies

•    Highly quality focused with excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills

•    Awareness of Master Data management best practice methodologies

•    Takes personal accountability for delivering high quality work which is right first time.
