Britvic has recently completed a significant change programme across the GB Commercial function, part of which involved the setting up of a Shared Services model to support the GB Customer Management team in its vision to become a high performing commercial organisation that always delivers the budget, wins at point of purchase and beats the market.

 

The Sales Operations (SOPs) team are the owners of key commercial activities and processes in close conjunction with the GB Customer Management team including (but not limited to) co-ordination of new account openings, customer price file management, investment management, invoice reconciliation, pricing & invoice dispute management, gift & samples orders and POS orders.

 

Reporting into the Director of Shared Services & Transformation, the SOPs Manager will be responsible for the day to day management of the SOPs function and team of up to 7 x SOPs analysts and administrators.

The role will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the team to ensure the accurate completion of all key commercial processes that the SOPs team will be responsible for.   The SOPs manager will ensure the team provide a quality orientated, highly customer focussed service to all internal and external stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Day to day management of the SOPs function and team
  • Ensure continuous delivery of SOPs commercial activities to agreed SLAs
  • Forge strong relationships and communication lines with the relevant Customer Management and Credit Control teams and other key stakeholders
  • Be key point of contact for escalations to a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • Develop and prepare various pieces of reporting (daily, weekly, periodically as appropriate) on behalf of SOPs
  • Support FSS Credit Management team with the customer claims and disputes process to ensure good debt management
  • Working alongside the Director of Shared Services & Transformation, drive continuous improvement, effective system and resource utilisation and good corporate governance
  • Delivery of training to drive process compliance and best practise to the commercial functions
  • Provide leadership to SOPs team members through effective objective setting, delegation, recruiting and communication

 

Key Skills and Experience:

 

  • Significant experience of working in a Shared Services environment;
  • Experience in recruiting, leading, developing and appraising a team, ideally in a Shared Services environment; 
  • In depth understanding of commercial processes within a FMCG/SAP environment;
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders;
  • Strong IT skills – both Microsoft office and ERP systems (SAP preferable); 
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills.
  • Excellent customer service & delivery focus.
