About the role:
The Training Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the Rugby site remains fully compliant with all training requirements. The role involves coordinating and maintaining training programmes across the site, covering safety, quality, compliance, and job-specific skills. Working closely with managers and employees, you will help develop capability, monitor training compliance, and support a culture of continuous learning to ensure colleagues can perform their roles safely, effectively, and to the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all site training activities, ensuring employee training records, certifications, competencies, and compliance requirements are accurately maintained within the Learning Management System (LMS) and associated training databases.
- Develop, schedule, and administer training plans across the site, including mandatory compliance training, MHE (Forklift and Material Handling Equipment) training, onboarding programmes, and development activities.
- Monitor training and certification expiry dates, proactively planning refresher training and working closely with managers to maintain workforce competence and legal compliance.
- Support the onboarding process for new starters by coordinating induction programmes, training schedules, IT requirements, welcome communications, and employee support throughout their first weeks.
- Act as the main point of contact for training enquiries, providing guidance and support to employees, managers, trainers, external training providers, and the National Skills Academy.
- Maintain training documentation, SharePoint sites, skills matrices, competency records, and employee training files to ensure audit readiness and data accuracy.
- Collaborate with operational teams to identify training gaps and coordinate solutions that support business performance while minimising operational disruption.
- Produce and analyse training, labour, and overtime reports, providing accurate data and insights to support business decision-making.
- Support agency workforce compliance by monitoring training records, qualifications, inductions, and certification requirements.
- Assist with site audits by ensuring training, compliance, labour, and competency records are accurate, up to date, and readily available.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development by supporting employee progression, competency development, and skills enhancement across the site.
- Ensure all activities are carried out in line with health, safety, quality, and compliance standards, contributing to a safe, competent, and high-performing workforce.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a Training Coordinator, HR Administrator, Learning & Development, Compliance, or similar administrative role.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and confidence working with data, records, and reporting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS), maintaining training records, or coordinating training activities would be an advantage.
- A proactive, organised approach with a passion for supporting employee development and continuous improvement.
- Experience within a manufacturing, logistics, or operational environment.
- Learning & Development, CIPD, Train the Trainer, or Business Administration qualifications are desirable
